November 2019

Happy November.  It started with a kind of weird Halloween, as we were rained out on the actual day and decided to trick-or-treat the day after.  We thought that was the neighborhood plan but we were almost the only ones out and about.  Oh, well -- Hogan's Duke Caboom costume was a fun surprise for the girls and we made the most of it.  It does make for a funny blog post, though -- Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas tree pics all in the same post, haha.

Happy 16 months, B!  He's started doing motions to songs, like "Driving in my car" and "The itsy bitsy spider."  He's putting two words together -- like "more dat" for things he wants.  And he's been much better about the Christmas tree than I thought he would be (but otherwise still pretty much into everything)! ;)

Pumpkin math in Lily's class.

Another baby in the candy bowl. :)

Hogan surprised the girls by coming out on the tiny motorcycle and showing off his Duke Caboom moves.

Show and tell.

Fridge ballet before getting our new fridge (good  thing the new one has a bar just like it). ;)

They started reciting "Star light, star bright.  First star I see tonight.  I wish I may, I wish I might.  Have the wish I wish tonight."

Visited Lexi together for the first time in several years.

DSBG.

One girl band.

Cold faces.

Charley's turkey.

Charley's dinosaur and volcano picture.

Cocoa and Christmas shows while Mommy jewelry shopped at Elesha's.

Grayson's party at Kate's.  She was a little nervous at first but then loved it and wanted to go back the next day.

This about sums up his little nature. :)

Before school good-byes.

Taking after his sisters.

Checking out the creek at the new house.  Note the rain boots, phone, and backpack -- this was her being "prepared for the creek."

Another artist in the fam.

Girls' art in the advent devotional at church.

Kindergarten feast at school.

Lil's Thanksgiving card for her teacher.

And C's card for her teacher.  Her turkey!

Presenting the girls' Christmas room!  I really didn't want Charley to feel kicked out of her room when the baby comes, but I realized that I really needed her room to be our makeshift nursery.  So in an effort to make it cozy and fun to share a room, Lil's room got a Christmas make-over, including a bed for C.  I think I love it as much as they do (and spoiler alert -- C's been wanting to sleep here every night).

Found C in Lily's bed one morning.  And one night she apparently got in Lily's bed after a bad dream, and then Lily carried her back to her bed. :)

On the hunt!

First time we've ever been wished Happy Thanksgiving at the tree lot.

Thanksgiving parade with Grandma and Grandpa.

Impromptu play about the Pilgrims & Indians, and the first Thanksgiving!

Ice skating fail at the Whitewater Center.  Cool spot, just too crowded.  Southpark skating rink here we come.

Here's to the kickoff of the holidays, a fun December, and Christmas and baby preparations!
