Happy 2026! It's always a little bittersweet saying goodbye to the holidays, but also nice to have a new year fresh start. There's always hopeful energy surrounding the start of the new year (and we left our tree up longer this year -- thankful for a healthy one that lasted and we enjoyed it well past new years for the first time in a long time).
I was super thankful for what became a bit of a Christmas break tradition with Briggs... I'd have my coffee and devotional, then Briggs would join me and we'd have some special morning time just the two of us before anyone else was up. Our other Christmas break "thing" was watching Stranger Things with the girls. It was really fun having a show together and the girls got really into it (especially Charley).
We started off the month with Crew's birthday party at Inner Peaks. Happy 6, Crew! Then it was back to school, and I got to chaperone Crew's Kindergarten field trip to Children's Theater, which I loved.
And we ended the month with SNOW! We had a tiny snow at first that was more ice, but the next week we had a great, several inches snow! The boys had never seen snow like it! The kids made snowballs and snow angels, sledded, built a snowman, and laughed at Tanner in the snow. :)
