June 2023

June brought the end of the school year, and the start of Summer!  It was an emotional end of school, especially for Lil.  Her fifth grade graduation was really sweet, and she received one of just a handful of awards at graduation.  Then it was pics with friends and special teachers, and a graduation party at Latta Park.  I cannot believe Lil is off to middle school!  

This month we celebrated Grandma's birthday, went camping, went to Carowinds, and left at the very end of the month for the beach with Hogan's family.  Here's to Summer break. :)

This was so fun.  I ran into Mia Cunningham, my childhood dance idol from NCDT.  I was just telling Lily about her when we were talking about how Lily feels about Sarah Hayes... I told her about Mia being my Sarah Hayes and then we ran into her at the Choreographic Lab.

Sarah!  Just found out she is retiring after this season.  We are so sad but maybe she'll teach at Clt Ballet one day!

Lily had this quote up on her whiteboard for all of fourth grade.  She finally erased it to make her new Summer board.  I just love this verse and wanted to remember.

Off to meet Grandma & Grandpa for our camping adventure!

This was so sweet.  We had been talking about the old house and Briggs couldn't really remember some things and I told him I could find some pictures.  We looked through some old blog posts together and had so much fun looking at old pics.  We looked at each kid as a newborn. :)

On our way to SPT for vacation with Hogan's family and made a detour in Ocean Isle to see the Keysers.  They were at the end of their family vacation.  Really good to see their girls.  Lily and Elizabeth exchanged numbers. :)
