June 2026

June is always a fun month. With testing behind them, the girls had some downtime at school, and elementary always has fun end of year activities and class parties. We celebrated Grandma's 75th birthday, and she enjoyed dinner at The Shore (aka the kids' restaurant they put on at home). :) All the kids had their last day of school on the 10th and Lily had 8th grade graduation (can't believe she's off to high school)! We kicked off Summer with a trip to Southport with Grandma & Grandpa. Then the boys had a week of camps (Vacation Bible School for Crew and Camp Invention for Briggs), we celebrated Father's Day, and then back to the beach for Hogan's family's trip. Summer is definitely in full swing!

Crew's friend Mason. Trying to get some playdates in before the busy Summer starts.

Lily looking cute in her Y2K inspired outfit (and looking tall with her graduation heels on). ;)

Crew on the Soccer Factory email.

Playdate with Markai.

Donuts with Dads! At Latta Park this year.

A treasured pack of Pokemon cards from the vending machine.

Movie night snuggles.

Her much anticipated sleepover at Addie's with Sutton and Parker.

Friends over for the backyard oyster roast.

Helpers.

Crazy train track!

HBD Grandma!

Making homemade pasta!

Happy 75 from your whole crew (and restaurant staff, lol)!

After dinner entertainment. :) Riptide.

Checking out these local gardens Mom knew about - and this one had this huge bunny hutch that made me think of Charley. So pretty!

Picture courtesy of Mrs. Williams. The boys found each other at the popsicles on the field event and got to sit together.

Kindergarten Lily. The parents planning the 8th grade graduation party thought it would be fun to have pictures of the eighth graders as Kindergarteners in caps and gowns up at the party. So...

Here's our AI generated Kindergarten graduation pic. So cute! Lol.

End of year party with Crew!

I love this cute idea. Parents had submitted baby pictures and Ms. Abell would show the baby picture and the class would guess who it was before she showed the current pic.

Sweet assistant Ms. Bacon.

B's class party was popsicles on the playground.

Going to bed before the last day of school!

Last day of Kindergarten and second!

Lily, looking so grown up, ready for 8th grade graduation.

Last day of 8th and 6th (Charley - congrats on surviving - and thriving in - your first year of middle school!).

The girls were asked if they would come back the day after school got out to walk future students to their auditions. Proud they were asked to represent!

Crew packed himself for the beach... a bathing suit, a couple jerseys, his monster truck, and Cheetz. The essentials. ;)

SPT.

The boys always play lots of board games with Grandpa on our beach trips. Grandpa brought Rich Uncle and Life for the first time this year, so they had fun with those (not to mention lots of Ticket to Ride).

Charley and Lil, filming a little sister movie in the rain.

OKI.

Lily has been reading so much this Summer -- love seeing her get into reading again.

Lunch at the Lazy Turtle.

Going through B's old schoolwork from the year. Sweet.

Saying bye to Lightning Volt. Maybe we'll see it driving around OKI one day.

BHI.

B and I dug a huge hole and he wanted to be buried all the way up to his head!

"Crew, where's B?!"

Ben's birthday party at Mission Laser. At first B didn't want to do laser tag, but his friend's Dad said he could put the vest on and get the other kids from the observation area, and after five minutes he was all in. :)
Old toy memory pics!

Awesome chalk obstacle course.

Happy Father's Day!

Lily's magnatile house. It made me so happy to see her sit down and just build like a kid. #Summer
Family reading time. We've worked it out a couple of times now. All together on the playroom couch, independently reading, but together. Love it.

Off to Camp Invention.

And off to VBS.

Wacky hair and sock day. :)

Lily had a pool date at Julia's with Morgan, and Charley came along to hang with Morgan's sister, Phoebe. They got along so well (and played British mermaids!). :)
Wearable invention day. Last minute but we settled on a wearable first aid kit.

B's copycat robot.

And B and Seth's skatepark.
Toy Story 5!

Quinn, welcome to the playroom. :)

Playing B's game, Color World.
Tanner getting ready for the 4th of July (and back to SPT with Hogan's family).

Upstairs loop a hook!

Mommy said yes to waffle cones!!

Bye for now and more trip pics coming in July's post. :)
