September 2018

I feel like Briggs has grown tons and turned quickly from a little newborn to a "real baby."  Charley is off to a wonderful start in her preschool 4's class (same teachers Lily had -- my favorites!).  Lily continues to enjoy first grade and we are crossing our fingers it feels like Fall soon!

Happy 2 months, Briggs!  11 lb 13 oz (20th percentile) and 22" (3rd percentile)... and he seems so big. :)

The traffic that goes too fast on our street is driving us nuts.  So Daddy and Charley took it into their own hands and created Lily her own crosswalk for coming home from school. ;)

Look who paid us a short visit!  Annie's family is actually moving back to Charlotte and we got to have Annie while her parents house hunted.  Lily is over the moon (me too)!

BFFs with their baby brothers.

The morning bus stop... short but sweet Lily, Mommy time.

Charley getting to meet her teachers and see her new classroom.

She found Lily in an old class photo they had up. :)

Another year with Ribbit (Lily's so excited to see him again)!

He does get real baths from time to time. :)

This one's for Daddy.

Sweet lady on the way home from Lil's school let Charley pick a flower from her front yard.

Playing Tip (Home). :)

Happy first day of 4's, C!!!

Tooth #2, gone!  This girl pulled it herself at school after it got super wiggly.

Greek Festival 2018.  Fun but hot!

Her letters!

Starting to really smile!

"Funky girls."

Early release day for Lil.  Traffic on 77 was terrible, but an hour and a half after we left preschool we made it, and believe it or not I think it was totally worth it.

These are the notes you find that make every single hard moment worth it.  Seriously.

My portrait, by Lily.

Hurricane ready!

Nature walk with Grandma.  This is a fairy house chandelier. :)

Had to snap a pic of these beautiful berries we found on our walk at Freedom.

Happy Baptism Anniversary.  I remind them what baptism means, light their candles, and enjoy a cupcake. :)

Getting so strong.

Decorated for Fall.

Rain walk during Florence.  "This is my first hurricane!" - Lily

"I flipped my first pancake!" - Lily

Sofia, by Charley.

Cake pops at Target... a little tradition of ours.  The Target doggie one was a first though, haha.

Charley the rock star.

Happy 2 months sweet boy!!!  You are smiling and rolling over and so tolerant of your loving but crazy big sisters.  Life is good!

I caved, and they're pretty darn excited.  Mal and Evie for Halloween this year.

Got to chaperone Lily's first 1st grade field trip.  Carrigan Farms apple orchard.  Super fun but SO hot.  Come on Fall!

This look!

Walking home from school as a fam one Friday.   Thankful to be able to do this!

Homemade applesauce with her apples from Carrigan Farms.

Festival in the Park!

The girls got so tickled with Charley's portrait of Daddy.  Love this pic.

Finally found some faceprint.  Phew!

Go Panthers!

Back to Festival in the Park on Sunday to hit up the rides.

... and snow cones of course.

They LOVED riding the ponies.  Charley's was Geronimo and Lily's was Peanut Butter.  She's been on a search to find Peanut Butter ever since. ;)

Love this one.

Lil thought this looked like a dog face in the tree.  A DOGwood tree (we've really been into play on word jokes around here)!

Little Mommy.

And Farmer Lily.

C's "All About Me" poster for school.  Her faves include family, riding her bike, art, dance, and the color pink. :)

Wagoning to school.

They thought it was hilarious I let them actually drink water from baby bottles.

This one's for Grandpa!  Go Sox!

Cutest little witch.

Open Streets 704.

Dilworth's Dragon Fest.  Slides, sand art and pumpkin decorating.

  1. Cute Family! Keep on being the best Parents you can be. Love the Crosswalk idea, that sure is a frustrating thing to have to deal with. This site offers some appropriate signage to make the case when you cant. http://drivelikeyourkidslivehere.com/
