August 2018

What a month... partly a blur and yet trying to be so mindful of these fleeting newborn days!  We enjoyed the last few weeks of Summer vacation, primarily by laying low and loving on Briggs. :)  We were full of milestones this month.... B celebrated a month.  Hogan celebrated his 40th.  Lil lost her first tooth and started first grade.

Happy one month Briggs!
9.5 lbs (30th percentile) and 20.75" (12th percentile)

Peace out Summer.  It's been fun.  Ready for Fall!

QT with Grandma for several days while Daddy was on a work trip.

Playing America's Got Talent... Grandma and Charley getting the golden buzzer. :)

This is Lily's sweet little story about raising money for Zoe in the church newsletter.  "I'm famous!" she said... "at least at church."

2 week checkup!

Mommy Lily date!  Having tea at American Girl.   Super special one on one.

Go Briggs!

Mommy Charley date!  C chose the mall, too.  Disney store and ice cream.

The paint spinner.  SO much fun, but definitely a messy craft Mommy wouldn't have dared do solo right now.   Thanks Grandma for manning this art project while B & I watched from the porch swing!

An attempt at dinner out with all 3 nibbles.  It wasn't quite as peaceful as it looks from this pic, but good to get out. ;)

Charley's 80's fashion (aka Mommy's old clothes).

Loose tooth!

After a long day at the Carowinds water park...

The magic sleeping pants!!!  Not super magic yet, but still soft and cozy.  (Old man Briggs)

"NA-SA!"  I can hear her little voice. :)

Off to Jolly Lollies camp.  Love they could do a camp together!

My first solo outing with all three.  Smooth sailing.  It was quick and easy, but still gave me a little confidence boost to have tackled a (successful!) solo trip.

Porch snuggles with Grandpa.

First lost tooth!!!

The tooth fairy came!

Hehe.  Reminds me of Lily's baby picture with her tongue out.

Happy 40th Hogan!!

Making Daddy's birthday card.

Baby Charley. :)

Mommy kiddo trip to Imaginon to see the Storybook exhibit.

Last swim class for the Summer.  They were hoping they would get ribbons and they did! ;)  They each earned a beautiful rainbow colored ribbon for something they did well in class.

Starting to look big.

Nothing but love.

Getting ready to go meet her first grade teacher!

She connected with her sweet teacher, Ms. Person,  right away.  Lily went from being a little nervous for school to just excited after meeting her.  Made me SO happy!

Squeezing in one more trip to Carowinds!

Hehe.  Love these bath pics.

I have to say... Charley wears my old clothes well.  This was my fave dress up at her age!!  Makes me laugh but SO darn sweet to see her in it.  Takes me back.

Sandals or Uggs?  Our brief taste of a cool fall-like morning and Lil said "It's cold!"  "No it's not!", said Charley.

Off on the light rail to see The Lion King!

City kids.

Enjoying some ice cream in their unicorn house. :)

I was getting something out of  B's attic and Lil saw this dollhouse that was secretly stashed in there until I figured out  what to do with it (originally got it for Charley's birthday but we ended up getting a different one and they didn't want this one back).  As a kid, this has to be the best find ever... it's now her fairy house.  She went to work right away with the decorations!

Lily worked SO hard with Grandma on writing and illustrating her first chapter book, "The Girl and the Horse".

C made the cutest sleep mask at Emma's "sleep under."

Cuddles on the night before first grade!!

Happy new school year, Lilybug!

Getting to walk to school.  Somebody pinch me!

She's a Dilworth dragon!

We might have made a drive by. ;)

Off the bus!  (Yes, she gets to ride the bus this year!  She's the first stop on the way home and the last pick up in the morning... couldn't ask for more.  Lily said she likes it but it's not long enough, haha.)

LOVE.

First of many lunches at school with Lil.

Charley the safety patrol.

1 month!

Lily Daddy Panthers date.
